Newton G. Pendleton III CFP®, AIF®
Newton G. Pendleton III, CFP®, AIF®, joined the firm in 1990 and became a principal of the firm in 1996. He serves as President of the firm. He specializes in global investment asset allocation and selection of assets for individuals, families, and retirement plans. Other areas of experience include retirement and estate planning, insurance needs analysis, cash management and education funding projections.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Pendleton was a senior account executive with Congressional Quarterly, Inc. in Washington, DC, where he specialized in legislative analysis and account development. Prior to Congressional Quarterly, he was a marketing manager with MBI Business Centers in Washington, DC. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor of Financial Planning at the Florida Institute of Technology campus in Alexandria, Virginia.
Mr. Pendleton received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University in 1986. Mr. Pendleton received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation from the College for Financial Planning in 1991. In 2005, he earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies.
Newt lives in Warrenton, Virginia with his wife Katrine, son, Henry, and daughter, Anne.
