Relationship Manager
Brett W. Roper, CFP®, AIF® joined the firm in 2004 as an Associate Advisor. He worked his way up and became a principal of the firm in 2012. Brett specializes in the different areas of comprehensive financial planning including retirement and estate planning, cash management and education funding projections, and insurance needs analysis. He specializes in assessing client goals and risk tolerance and constructs portfolios with the appropriate application of modern portfolio theory investment processes.
Trust is the cornerstone of the client-planner relationship. Brett believes trust needs to be established in the very beginning and maintained throughout the relationship. At Rembert Pendleton Jackson, we embrace the term Fiduciary and hold ourselves to those high standards every day.
Brett received a Bachelor of Science degree focused in Family Financial Management with a minor in Business from Virginia Tech in 2004. Brett received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ CFP® designation from the CFP Board in January of 2008. Also in 2008, he earned his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He is also a member of the Financial Planners Association of the National Capital Area.
Brett grew up in Northern Virginia and attended W.T. Woodson High School. He currently resides in Vienna, Virginia with his wife Laura, son, William, and daughter, Michelle. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, volunteering in his community, and an occasional trip back to Blacksburg to watch the Hokies!
